Best places to escape the crowds at MNSSHP in 2019

Excited for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but feeling anxious about the late nights and nowhere to just relax and enjoy the party? Don’t panic; it’s not so tricky after all!

As a mom of young children; I am always a little wary of events that start after bedtime. However; I’m also not one to leave a park early or skip an event just for one night of bedtime routine. So, if you are heading into the Halloween Party this year; be sure to check out these three locations to escape the crowds and still be a part of the party ambiance.

Escape the Crowds in Tomorrow Land

Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor: The Laugh Floor is one of my favorite Air Conditioned attractions at Walt Disney World, but at the Halloween Party I loved it even more. When you enter the attraction there are cast members filling your bags with candy and guiding you into the seating area. Sit, Relax and laugh with some great Halloween inspired jokes and other interactive experiences. Then, when you leave there are more cast members filling your bags with another serving of Candy!

The People Mover: It wouldn’t be a proper “escape” the crows post if I didn’t mention The People Mover. A Magic Kingdom Classic that rarely has a line is the perfect spot to put your feet up for a few minutes during the party.

Cosmic Rays: If Chillin’ like a villain is your thing; you’ll want to check out Cosmic Rays! Grab some candy and hit the dance floor or grab some food and enjoy the Descendents 3 Dance Party! It’s not exactly an escape from the crowds, but it is definitely a spot to sit and still be involved in all the party action.

Say farewell to the crowds in Fantasy Land

My top choice to escape the crowds in Fantasy Land would have to be Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Mickey’s PhilharMagic: Much like the laugh floor; Mickey’s PhilharMagic was a great place to grab some candy at both the entrance and the exit and have a seat. All throughout the night, there were Classic Disney Halloween cartoons played; guests were invited to sit and enjoy the cartoons for as long as they wished.

Small World: It’s a small world is such a classic; I simply don’t understand why there is rarely a line. Perhaps its the catchy tune? Regardless; if you are looking for a ride to sit back and relax while escaping the crowds, jump on the Happiest Cruise that ever sailed.

Carousel: The Carousel is another classic that we found very little wait times, but put us right in the middle of the party ambiance.

Adventure Land

If you find yourself in Adventure Land; and are ready to rest. Head over towards the Trick or Treat stop.

Tortuga Tavern: There are plenty of tables and chairs around to relax.

DON’T MISS The Pirates of the Caribbean:   There are live actors throughout the line; as well as inside the ride. This made the whole experience unlike you’ve ever had before on this ride. To be honest; the actors inside the ride reminded me of how much fun The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios used to be.

Frontier Land

We didn’t find many places to relax that still made you feel as though you were still involved in the party, but if you need to relax there are several benches and areas by Splash Mountain.

Main Street U.S.A.

Main Street U.S.A.; it’s probably the most themed section of the party. It’s the place to be for the Parades, shows, and fireworks. Even though it is arguably the busiest section of the park there are a few places to escape the crowds.

Alley to the right: When walking down Main Street towards the castle there is a little alley to your right. There are a few tables, chairs and benches. Best of all; even on the busiest days at Walt Disney World, this little section is rarely crowded.

Main Street U.S.A. | MUST SEE

There are a few things you won’t want to miss on Main Street U.S.A.

Mickey Mouse: As you enter the park, right next to Tony’s Restaurant you will find Mickey Mouse as well as another Halloween meet and greet. Guests with food allergies; this is where you can collect your treats!

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom:  Stop in during the Party Hours (7:00p – 12:00a for an event exclusive spell card for FREE.

Fireworks: Sadly, we missed this. We were at the opposite end of the park.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular: I loved this show. I loved the music; I loved the dances and I loved how well in incorporated all the villains together so seamlessly.

Boo to You Parade: The parade begins in Frontier land and ends at the front of Main Street U.S.A.
